Oilcrete
The mill’s own site, rebuilt from the tree down.
Kydonakis Bros press PDO Messara extra virgin olive oil in Tympaki, southern Crete — since 1983, in their own 8,000 m² mill, ten tonnes of olives an hour, exported to five continents. The brand is Oleum Crete; oilcrete.com is the mill’s own site, and it dated from another era of the web.
We are rebuilding it from the tree down. One photographic olive tree stands on a WebGL canvas with leaves and fruit falling across every page; scroll, and the page dips once through the soil at the house and rises through the working day — grove, crate, intake, wash, mill, fill, case — into the range, the plain, the world map and the evidence room. Four languages, Greek, English, German and Russian, and a static-first Next.js build held to a hard performance budget. In progress, shipping soon.
