We hire rarely,and slowly.
There is no open role today. There often isn’t — we are a small senior team and we add someone when the work outgrows us, not on a schedule. This page exists so that when there is one, you already know whether it is you.
The work
Four disciplines, one room.
A studio that builds and then has to make the thing perform. Everyone sits close enough to the other three to be embarrassed by them.

Product engineering
Next.js and React on the front end, Node and Postgres behind it, Shopify Hydrogen where the work is commerce. Custom code, no page builders.
- 02
Design
Positioning, identity and interface as one job. You will design the thing and then watch real traffic meet it, which is the only useful feedback there is.
- 03
Automation
Make, n8n and custom API work, with language models where they earn their place. Systems that run someone’s operation, so they have to be right.
- 04
Performance marketing
Google Ads, Meta and the tracking underneath. You will be spending money against pages the same studio built, which removes the usual excuse.
What we look for
Four things, none of them a degree.
You can finish things
Most of what we do is shipped, used and measured within weeks. The difference between a strong portfolio and a useful one is whether the work went live and what happened next.
You can talk to the client
There is no account layer here. The person who designs, builds or runs the campaign is the person on the call, which means writing and speaking clearly is part of the job, not a bonus.
You care what happens after launch
A beautiful site that nobody finds is a failure with good typography. Everyone here has some opinion about conversion, search or cost per lead, whatever their discipline.
You are senior, or unmistakably going to be
We are small and we do not outsource, so there is nowhere for work to hide. That also means real ownership from the first week and no ladder to climb before you are trusted with it.

No form. No CV, first.
Send one email to info@meant.space with a link to something you made and two or three lines on what it was for and what happened after it launched. That tells us more than a CV does, and it takes you less time to write.
We read everything and reply to everyone, though not always quickly when there is nothing open. If your work is right and the timing is not, we keep it and come back to you.

- Same address, same email. Tell us the one thing you are unusually good at rather than the ten you can do.
- Internships
- Occasionally, paid, and only when someone here has the time to teach properly. Ask; we will say so honestly either way.
